Supervision with Sophie
Collaborative Supervision Rooted in Compassion
Alongside clinical work, I am extremely passionate about CBT supervision and supporting the wellbeing of fellow professionals. I completed the Postgraduate Certificate in CBT Supervision at Northumbria University, recognised by the BABCP.
Having worked extensively within the NHS, I understand first-hand the emotional demands that therapeutic work can place on professionals. I believe good supervision is invaluable; not only for therapist wellbeing and confidence, but also for improving client outcomes and maintaining safe, reflective, compassionate practice.
My supervision style is supportive, collaborative, and reflective, with a strong focus on helping therapists feel contained, confident, and able to grow in their clinical skills while maintaining their own wellbeing. My Supervision Style
My supervision style is warm, collaborative, reflective, and supportive whilst still maintaining high clinical standards. I aim to create a safe space where therapists feel able to think openly, reflect honestly, and grow confidently in their practice.
I value authenticity and believe good supervision should feel containing, encouraging, and genuinely useful - not performative or judgemental.
Why Choose Me
Alongside private practice, I continue to work within NHS CAMHS services and bring experience from inpatient, crisis, forensic, rehabilitation, maternal mental health, and IAPT settings.
This breadth of experience allows me to support supervisees working with a wide range of presentations, levels of complexity, and systemic challenges.
I am also deeply passionate about therapist wellbeing and understand first-hand the emotional demands of working within mental health services.
