How Between-Session Support Works
Support between sessions is designed to complement therapy rather than replace full therapeutic sessions or crisis support.
Clients can choose:
Flexible ad-hoc support when needed
OR
Planned check-in days/times agreed in advance for additional structure and predictability
This flexibility allows support to feel collaborative and tailored to individual needs whilst remaining clinically safe and sustainable.
Response Times & Boundaries
To ensure support remains safe, sustainable, and clinically effective, the following boundaries apply:
I aim to respond to messages or voice note check-ins within 24 working hours wherever possible
Responses are provided during agreed working hours only
Support is not monitored continuously or in real time
This service is not intended for crisis or emergency support
If urgent support is required, clients should contact emergency services, crisis teams, NHS 111, GP services, or appropriate emergency supports
Between-session support is limited and designed to provide therapeutic guidance, reflection, and coping support rather than ongoing unlimited communication.
Important Information
Enhanced support is always discussed collaboratively to ensure it feels appropriate, beneficial, and manageable for both therapist and client.
My aim is to create a service that feels supportive, containing, and personalised whilst maintaining healthy therapeutic boundaries and realistic expectations.
This approach often works particularly well for clients who benefit from consistency, reassurance, accountability, or additional emotional support whilst working towards meaningful and sustainable change.

Some individuals and families are looking not only for therapy, but also for a deeper understanding of what may be contributing to ongoing emotional or psychological difficulties.
I offer comprehensive mental health assessments for children, young people, and adults, drawing upon my experience as both a Registered Mental Health Nurse and BABCP accredited High Intensity CBT Therapist working across CAMHS, crisis, inpatient, IAPT, and private practice settings.
These assessments provide a detailed exploration of emotional wellbeing, psychological difficulties, patterns, risk factors, and contributing experiences, alongside clear clinical understanding and evidence-based recommendations for support moving forward.
Assessments may be particularly helpful for:

My Approach
My approach to assessment is warm, collaborative, and compassionate. I understand that many individuals and families seeking assessment support may already feel overwhelmed, confused, or emotionally exhausted.
